The timeline of videogames

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yn4JRsmyy4

Very interesting video that takes you from the history of videogames from the founders that started everything back in the 1950's. You can actually see the progression over the years and the advancement of technology.

  1. Sean, this was an awesome video. I remember the first atari and playing pong. Now I have a Wii. It is amazing to see how video games have evolved. This video goes through the whole history showing how not only the game systems changed but how the manufacturers of these systems were constantly fighting to be the top seller. I really enjoyed this post. There is lots of great information in it. Mary Ann Reday.

  2. Sean, that video was great. The evolution of video games has come a long way. I remember playing pong - but the only time it was really challenging was when it was in fast motion. I have always enjoyed playing Mario Bros on the Nintendo and recently got to play Super Mario Bros on the Wii. So glad this game is still around! Competition in the video game industry is fierce, but they do produce some interesting and fun games.

  3. Wow, I thought that was amazing because I had no idea games went back that far and seeing pictures of it and who started it was great. I remember some of the games that were mentioned. Its weird looking back and seeing how everything was so big and as the years pass, they get smaller and more unique. Also, the coloring on the games weren't all that like it is now. Can't wait to see what's ahead in the future.

  4. The progression of the video games is a representation of technological development. Probably nothing is as dependent on technological advancement as video games. New graphical solutions, new internet innovations have all become a part of the revolutionary processes that influenced the development of computer games. Computer games have also become integrals of today’s culture – even movies are made based on the computer games. Probably this form of technology can open up the boundaries we cannot yet comprehend!
